Oliver Hardt studied applied theatre studies and began his career as a director in 1990 at Europe’s then leading avant-garde theatre in Frankfurt. here he realized his first video works for stage projections. subsequently he worked with different theatre companies in Frankfurt, Cologne, Vienna and New York. increasingly interested in the possibilities of storytelling by means of images, from 1996 he began to realize documentaries for various german public service channels and artistic video projects which were successful at numerous international film festivals.

from 2001 onwards Oliver began to conceptualise and direct sophisticated corporate films which won him many international awards. he directed corporate films for clients ranging from Lufthansa and Deutsche Bank to renowned designer furniture manufacturer Walter Knoll and the German Design Council, just to name a few. at the same time he continues to direct and write documentaries as well as conceptualising stage projections and event media.

the combination of a documentary approach with the mise-en-scene of details and the creation of emotional imagery make for corporate films that show the quintessence of a company, brand or product in an emotional and unique context. Oliver focuses on the extra- rather than the ordinary and thereby never fails to capture the audience.
