When Chiko and his father move to the big city from a small, rural village they are unaware of the tragic and terrifying events that are about to grip their lives and change the course of South African history.
“Chiko” is an intimate look at how the everyday lives of people living in Soweto were impacted by the heinous massacre of peaceful, protesting students by the South African Apartheid Police Force in 1976.
